To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections,
Kids First has suspended divorce workshops for children.
The judges are aware of the situation. They will extend the timeline for the workshop requirement if needed. Or if you are ready to finalize your divorce and only the workshop requirement is left, you may ask a judge to waive workshop attendance. The judges have indicated they will waive the workshop requirement for anyone ready to finalize a divorce while the workshops are suspended.
Linn/Johnson County Parents:
We encourage you to register your child(ren). We will let you know when workshops resume and offer you the earliest dates available.
Polk/Dallas County Parents:
Registration is through Iowa Center for Children's Justice.
